This application (once filled out and approved becomes a contract) is between

The foster named
will be housed in an at least 24x24 pen with shade/rain protection.
They will have access to clean potable water 24/7.
Foster responsibilities: In summer they will be fed at least 1 flake of Teff in the morning and 1 flake of alfalfa in the evening.
In winter 1 flake of alfalfa and ½ flake teff morning and night.
Hay will be provided by .
Cleaning: Foster will perform daily cleaning of stall.
Grooming: Foster will do at least weekly grooming.
Medical care/extra care: Foster will contact THR immediately if needed.
If THR is responsible, we authorize
care, including emergency up to $2500 (please call asap so we can participate) billed to THR

you,
agree to take the utmost care and prioritize their safety.
In the event of injury, illness or death you
will contact Tecate Horse Rescue, Inc. DJ Osborne immediately or as soon as is safely possible. Their
current vet is ECLAP who should be contacted in the event of an emergency situation.
This vet has been informed that you are their foster and can make decisions regarding their emergency care
if DJ Osborne is not available. If they are unavailable to help,
you will use maximum effort to get the horse seen as quickly as befits the situation. You will take this contract
with you to prove to whatever Vet has been retained that you do have
authority to act in emergency situations IF DJ Osborne is not available. You will provide Tecate Horse
Rescue, Inc with all details regarding the situation and condition as soon as is safely
possible. In the event you cannot reach Tecate Horse Rescue, Inc and an immediate decision must be made,
you will ALWAYS put the animal's welfare first. This includes surgery,
medicine, admission to a hospital or euthanasia with a limit of $2500 maximum in charges and fees subject to written permission otherwise.
Fostering does NOT give you the right to relocate them,
sell them, gift them, or adopt them out without explicit written permission from Tecate Horse Rescue, Inc.
